The city tour starts at Gastouri, where the magnificent Achilleion Palace erected in 1891 by Empress Elisabeth of Austria, offers breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. Then we go to Kanoni, which overlooks Mouse Island (Pontikonisi) and the Monastery of Vlacherna, as well as Corfu Town, which has the following attractions: Liston Square, the Old and New Fortress, Liston Square, EspIanade Square, Church of Saint Spyridon – patron of the island, The Royal Palace of Saint George and Saint Michael, Antivouniotissa  Byzantine Museum and The Synagogue. You will be given historical and cultural background information by a trained guide and you'll get free time in the Old Town to go shopping.

Kanoni-Pontikonissi is a trendy tourist resort with a number of hotels and spectacular views of the Halikiopoulos Lagoon and the airport. A pathway leads down from Kanoni to the Monastery of Vlacherna, where you may board a small boat to Mouse Island (Pontikonissi), home of the Byzantine Church of Pantokrator. This is one of Corfu's most photographed spots and one of the city's icons.

The Esplanade Square is known as the "biggest square in the Balkans." A stroll around the area will bring you to Rotonda (named for the first British Lord High Commissioner, Sir Thomas Maitland), which is today a favorite hangout for young people, as well as the bandstand, where local bands and orchestras perform often.

Liston Square: Built in 1807, it is the most popular meeting location in Corfu town, where people come to read newspapers and sip coffee or ouzo in the town's long-standing cafeterias. In the afternoons, you can watch cricket matches while enjoying ginger beer.
